Homologous point transformer for multi-modality prostate image registration

The project focuses on enhancing a Homologous Point Transformer (HPT) for multi-modality prostate image registration. Last year, the team developed a deep learning pipeline that aligns prostate histology and MRI images by predicting homologous control points. This year, we're improving the model's accuracy by targeting a mean control point deviation (CPD) below 8 and increasing training quality and data quantity. We also aim to incorporate Gleason Classification, potentially linking the image registration process with prostate cancer grading. Our efforts will further refine the HPT pipeline, making it more efficient and applicable to diverse medical imaging tasks, including the brain and other organ systems.
